Gold Mining

Newmont Gold Company offers public tours on the second Tuesday of the month, April through October. Tours begin at 9 a.m. at the Northeastern Nevada Museum on Idaho Street, where participants view a video on Newmont Gold Company.

A company bus then transports visitors to the mine where they are shown the pit, dump leach and milling facilities.

Children 12 to 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Young adults between the ages of 16 to 18 years must have a waiver signed by the parents.
